Mandalas - 2002
There were 8 participants, plus one member from "Foyer", who came to observe but actually took part.
INTRODUCTION TO WORK BY CATALYST ARTISTS
1) We spent some time looking at the exhibition waiting for everyone to arrive.
DESCRIPTION OF WORKSHOP
2) Everyone introduced themselves
3) History and explanation of Mandalas.
4) Description of how we were going to proceed - drawing our own mandalas in oil pastels.
5) Meditation
6) Drawing Mandala in oil pastels
7) Discussion and interpretation of work
8) Making a second Mandala using:- acrylic paint, relief printing, tissue paper and glue.

EVALUATION
I was very pleased about the openness of the participants and felt they produced interesting work and that there was a good group dynamic. This workshop was based on the "modem" science of psychoanalysis and looked at some work developed by, among others, Jung and his theories of personal growth and individuation.
